Sorry, the point wasn’t the specific numbers. I’m saying even if we’re in the we’re screwed category, not all scenarios of we’re screwed are equal. We can still lessen the pain by implementing measures to reduce our carbon output now. The more we do now, the less painful it will be later.
150,000 dead Americans by year end from covid-19 would be terrible, but if we put in better testing, tracking and social distancing measures, maybe the number could be 120,000. Still terrible, but less terrible.
